Field level office under the Department of Secondary and Higher Education under the Ministry of Education is "Upazila Secondary Education Office". The Office of the Thana Project Officer was established as the field office of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education's 1994 Secondary Satmar Scholarship Project. Later it was renamed as "Upazila Secondary Education Office" by the office order of the Ministry of Education.
